Our Pine Tree Pendant Necklace honors the Cherokee story of the Pine Tree and the Sparrow. The pine tree didn't think it had much to give, but it shared what it had, and that small act of kindness is why it stays green all year. The 1" copper pendant features a pine tree hand drawn by Cherokee artist Moriah Stice.
It's a quiet reminder that what you have to give is enough. Every pendant is handmade in our Oklahoma studio.

The Story Behind the Design
The Pine Tree and the Sparrow is the Cherokee story of why the trees lose their leaves and how the pine became evergreen. At its heart, it's a story of Cherokee love and compassion. The sparrow with the broken wing is our vulnerable self. The pine tree is our humble self, the part of us that thinks we have nothing to give but shares what we have anyway.
Sometimes we are the sparrow, and sometimes we are the pine tree. This pendant carries the pine tree: the one who gives what it has, even when it doesn't feel like much.
